The FISH FARM

Our carp are grown and managed in a purpose built man made pond situated on a privately owned farm in the Midlands. Ashery Fields Carp Stockists is fully licensed by CEFAS as an aquaculture production business, with fish health and biosecurity at the heart of everything we do.

The pond has been carefully designed and managed to give us as much control over the environment as possible. Built on natural clay soil it benefits from a large controlled inlet and outlet system with water regularly filtered from a local supply. This allows us to maintain consistent water quality while significantly reducing the risk of pollution, parasites, disease or unwanted transmission from external sources.

We operate strict feeding and monitoring programmes with water temperature and quality routinely monitored and managed throughout the year. Our facilities are maintained with prevention in mind helping to minimise the risk of disease outbreaks and ensuring the welfare and condition of every fish remains a priority.

Alongside the main pond we also have dedicated fish holding facilities and tanks allowing customers to visit and select individual fish when they are ready. The result is a thriving carefully managed environment where our carp can grow naturally develop exceptional condition and be supplied to venues with confidence.
